DJ Hersky (Jake Hersky) is the Ottawa DJ behind Beatmaster DJ — 15+ years, 500+ events, and a 97% client satisfaction rate across weddings, corporate galas, clubs and festivals. Open-format, crowd-reading, and famous for packed dance floors.
Long bio
Jake Hersky — DJ Hersky — has been mixing since age 13. It started in the back seat of his dad's car — vinyl mixes on every Toronto-to-Ottawa drive, learning what a good transition felt like years before touching a deck. By 16 he'd passed a formal DJ school, putting technique under instinct.
The rooms came fast after that: weddings, clubs, lounges, water parks, festivals, brand activations, charity galas. He played clubs for years and got flown out for gigs — rooms he'd never seen, crowds he had to win over fast. Every one taught him the same lesson: the most important skill isn't mixing, it's reading the room in 60 seconds.
As a club artist, DJ Hersky is a bass-first selector: high-energy dubstep, riddim and bass music, plus hip-hop, Top 40, and Latin, with the confidence to run CDJs, XDJs, controllers, and full club setups. Behind the decks, Jake runs Beatmaster DJ — pro sound, intelligent lighting, MC services and karaoke — alongside a web studio building websites and booking systems for small businesses. One person, one phone number, one standard: the room stays moving.

Full production travels with us — sound, lighting, mics and backup.

- Dedicated 10×10 ft setup area with a clear load-in path; venue or planner to assist with equipment handling

- 2× 20A power outlets and one 6 ft table at the booth
- Travel & accommodation
- 1 hotel room (3-star or better) for venues more than 1.5 hours from Ottawa
